At sunrise, seven years ago today, Ron's heart stopped beating, and I became a widow.
I thought it fitting that I honor this day by watching the sunset. Of course, Ron probably has a better view from where he is at!
I felt him with me at our beach today. It was perfect fall weather at the coast...not even any fog!

i found my voice again
Today is Ron's 6 month angelversary. I have lost so much...especially my ability to blog/write. I started thinking about blogging again when I read Thomas' essay. (last post) His essay reminded me how powerful words can be. So here I am.

Yes Ron you are a teacher
Ron Chell
My role model is Ron Chell. He has brought out a love for soccer more than anybody could have ever. Ron all ways told us to try our hardest. He taught a lot of things to me over the 2010-2011 season. Ron had a lot of fun things for us to do, but we had to work for them.
Ron was also a responsible person. If he said we would play this game he kept his word. He never lied to anybody on the team. We could tell him anything and if we didn't want anybody to know, he wouldn't tell.
He had a lot of self discipline, when he would demonstrate a drill to us he tried his hardest. When ever we played a game and we got into arguments he tried to settle it fairly. He never blamed one thing on one person, it was nobody or the team.
Even though Ron Chell has passed away from cancer, he is still my role model.
BY T.K.
This is an essay written by one of Ron's younger players.
Thanks little guy.... you made our day. We know our Ron will always be teaching us lessons in life.

2012
New Years Day 2012. Since I celebrated UK New Years Eve at 4pm, I was well rested and not hungover for my drive to the beach. Unlike last time, Ron's rose was swept away by the waves. I saw the petals break up and just one was sent back. It was a beautiful day on the coast. A sunny 61 degrees. I know Ron will be looking after me this year.

Uttoxeter and Rocester
A few photos from the memorial service held in Uttoxeter. Thanks to all those who came along to make the day special. At a recent game at Rocester FC, where my Dad used to be very involved helping to run the club, a minutes silence was observed before kick off and a tribute written in the matchday programme.
My thoughts are currently with Patricia and family over in the States. I hope all goes well on Thursday and things will look up soon...
